jpbryan - We never said we agreed with Senator Graham, we just thought it beneficial to shine a light on him since he asked for a meeting. Not sure what leads you to believe there was any Kool-Aid served, but rest assured, there was not. I doubt a single mind was changed about Senator Graham, just as I doubt he changed his. It was a forum, not a pep rally, so please don't give up on the good citizens of Charleston!

We've been following this issue for a while and it seems that for forums such as this, providing one doesn't cut and paste a "substantial" part of the whole, and to be safe only a few sentences, such use shouldn't contravene the Fair Use provision of US copyright law. The law can be found at <a href=http://www.copyright.gov/ rel="nofollow">the U.S. Copyright Office site</a>.

I've seen this occurring across the web in other forums. I believe it's allowable to post a link (so you HIT the site) but not to copy and paste portions of a story.

I am not from, nor a part of Charleston, but have always loved the city and have always said it was my favorite town.. I have always thought the people in Charleston were the most courageous, fair, and outspoken folks in the state. I was delighted, and posted on FaceBook several times that the CTP had called Graham on the carpet. After reading the comments about the way the meeting went, I must say I am disappointed in the CTP.

Graham lies and manipulates his "stories" to suit the present audience. When he said that he voted for confirmation of Kagan, and why, how does that leave ANY question as to his position? His position and sponsorship of Cap & Trade.. Are you folks lost?

The above agreements for "across the aisle trading" only means he is two faced.. To them and you. Why can't a senator take a position that his constituents want and stick with it? This man (Graham) is leading you down a path of constitutional government destruction.

You people need to WAKE UP!!!

If you have not contributed to at least one or more of the Congressional campaigns of Jim Pratt, Tim Scott and Mick Mulvaney you need to do it now. Visit their website and contribute whatever you can afford. Then email all your friends and ask them to do the same. Now that you have your money in the game put a little personal skin in their campaigns . When you are on their website click on the "VOLUNTEER" tab and become a part of the solution for America.

Mikeinmountp,
This is excellent advice and should be acted upon by more people. Too many people sit back and wait for someone else to step forward to do what they should be doing. He has laid out a very simple roadmap explaining the need and the how to become a poll watcher. Now folks pick up the phone and get started. Mikeinmountp has made it easy by providing all the information to get you started.

To inquire about being a poll manager, contact the following numbers:
Charleston County (843) 974-6421 (843) 974-6421
Berkeley County (843) 719-4056 (843) 719-4056
Dorchester County (843) 563-0132 (843) 563-0132

Keepyourpower,
I believe you may have been advised incorrectly. The information I stated in my post that was required to register to vote in SC was copied directly from the South Carolina Voter Registration form. I refer you to South Carolina Code of Laws, Section 7-5-170 which I have copied in part below:

SECTION 7-5-170. Necessity for written application for registration; information to be contained on form; oaths; decisions on applications.
(1) Written application required. --No person may be registered to vote except upon written application which shall become a part of the permanent records of the board to which it is presented and which must be open to public inspection. However, the social security number contained in the application as required by this section must not be open to public inspection.
(2) Form of application.--The application must be on a form prescribed and provided by the executive director and shall contain the following information: name, sex, race, social security number, date of birth, residence address, mailing address, telephone number of the applicant, and location of prior voter registration.

You may read the entire Title 7 – Elections at this site:

You're right: Blair's policies have fuelled Islamic radicalism in the UK because he and his wife have promoted the Islamisation of our country via the introduction and application of 'human rights' and 'hate' legislation as well as through the vigorous endorsement of unrestricted mass immigration from Muslim states. Critics of Islamisation have been gagged, and if you work in the public sector you'll lose your livelihood if you don't mouth the false mantras of the 'diversity' dogma.

Quite a few people have got overly excited about what Blair has said about 'radical Islam'. I would urge caution, as he has only semi-awakened to the Islamist threat; hence his use of the term ‘radical Islam’ instead of the factually correct ‘applied Islam’ or ‘doctrinaire Islam’. He has failed to come to grips with the ideological essence of Islam, and thus is unable to recommend the domestic policies which are required to successfully tackle Islamist terror. He is still in favour of making concessions to Islam in the UK. To fight wars overseas whilst encouraging Islam to spread unchecked at home is a recipe for disaster: http://durotrigan.blogspot.com/2010/09/has-tony-blair-woken-up-to-reality-of.html
