Thank you for your interest in volunteering for service with the Charleston Tea Party! The following areas are those where we currently need assistance. Please choose whichever area you would like to help in and send a corresponding email to the contact listed.
Reporters
We need people who can post relevant news and discussion topics. If you are familiar with blogging and have an interest in informing and helping our members and site visitors become aware of and better understand political social issues that may affect them and their families’ lives, please email the web mistress at Chris@charlestonteaparty.org. Hands on classes will be held periodically at the CTP office on Calhoun Street to offer instruction on rules and techniques for posting articles.
Foot Soldiers
Our second annual Tax Day Tea party rally was held at the US Custom House in Charleston last April 15, and our recent Independence Day Picnic was held at Mt. Pleasant’s Palmetto County Park. Thanks to the dedicated work of many involved volunteers, both were great successes.
If you want to offer your skills and expertise to the Tea Party movement as a volunteer “foot soldier”, we would love to have you! There is much work to be done! Please contact the web mistress or any of the board members to express your interests and he/she will see that you are contacted and put to work!
For example, the upcoming elections in November may be one of the most important in our lifetime, and we need to get fellow conservatives registered to vote and get out the vote. Also, we encourage you to get involved with any of your local town/city councils to observe and report on pending actions that we should be concerned with. Find a particular candidate that you want to see win and volunteer to work with his/her campaign. These are the kinds of things the Tea Party has a role in, and we intend to be visible and effective. We encourage you to visit the CTP web site often to keep up with what is going on.
