A Mistake of Biblical Proportions

This is the year conservatives have been waiting for after 3 years resounding victories over Obama and his crew of socialists and scoundrels. We have been prepping ourselves for a major victory in order to erase three years of failed policies and a public awareness of the dangers of unencumbered liberalism.

So why after all of this are the establishment republicans able to so easily fool voters who think Romney can carry them to the promise land when in actuality all he is offering is false idols? Simple. They have bought into the adage that anybody is better than Obama. They are also being so shortsighted as to be almost suicidal. They are under the impression that by gaining the presidency, even with a thief, liar and liberal, such as Romney, they can reverse the liberal menace to the American way of life. As God must be thinking “What fools these mortals be.”

There are two branches of government that are responsible for US policy, the executive and the legislative, and they decide who occupies the third branch, the judicial. The house is a volatile organization, capable of quickly changing majorities as seen in the 1994, 2006 and 2010 elections. The senate is a more stable group but is in the middle of three crucial elections. In 2012 there are 21 democratic seats up for grabs and on the republican, only 10. Nine of the democratic seats are vulnerable while only two of the republicans seats are. In 2014, democrats have 20 seats up for grabs while republicans have 13. This gives our party the advantage in the next two cycles. However, in 2016 Republicans will have to defend 24 seats and democrats only 10. This means that we need to take full advantage of our obvious advantage in 2012 and 2014 in order to keep 2016 from being a swing year placing democrats in charge of the upper chamber of congress once more.

That’s why the 2012 presidential election is so crucial, but perhaps not in the way you would normally think. There are 4 candidates left in the race for the republican nomination race. Ron Paul has connected with the fringe but has gotten more support from liberals than he does from conservatives by far. Rick Santorum is a good man and a solid conservative, but is not really in the hunt. All his continued candidacy does is to divide the conservative vote and give the liberal Romney an advantage. Then there is the ultra-liberal Romney who says we need to look at what he says he will do and ignore what he has done when actually in charge, both at Bain and as governor of Massachusetts. Or we can choose Newt, who has a long track record of conservative activism.

Romney has been very carefully pointing to Newt’s adultery in his past and using that to paint him as unfit to serve. And indeed, adultery is one of God’s 10 Commandments. But what about the other nine?
Like “Thou shalt not bear false witness” Romney has continually said that Newt was guilty of 84 ethics violations and was fined $300,000 for his indiscretions. He goes on to say that Newt was voted out of the Speakership for those violations and Romney supporters buy into those lies like Eve bought the asp’s assertion that by eating the apple, she would be God’s equal. First of all, Newt was found innocent of all 84 charges trumped up by Nancy Pelosi. Secondly, he was never fined for ethics violations. He did have to pay for the investigation because Newt’s lawyer made an error. And thirdly, Newt resigned as speaker and from the house and even then it was 7 years after the fact. On Monday, Romney also lied when he said Newt did business with the government and he (Romney) never did. And that brings us to “Thou shalt not steal”

Now no one can claim to know exactly what the word of God means but I think we can safely assume that committing massive Medicare fraud would fall into that category. Bain Capital bought a company that did medical testing, by the name of Damon. Romney named himself to the board of directors. Damon, as it turns out was billing Medicare for tests which were never done. They made mega millions doing that. When first confronted with this, he did what he has proven he does best, he lied. He claimed he had no knowledge of it. Then when he got caught in that lie, he simply lied again and said he investigated the charges and stopped the practice in mid 1992. This too was a lie. Damon, according to the department of justice continued falsely billing Medicare right up until Bain sold them to Corning in mid 1993, a full year and many millions of taxpayer dollars later. Corning discovered the fraud and ended it. Ironically, when they bought Damon, they also took on responsibility for Romney’s criminal actions and were fined 119 million dollars. As a result, Damon went into bankruptcy and thousands of innocent employees were tossed out on the street. However , Bain made 12 million profit on the sale and Romney made 473,000 dollars. Who says crime doesn’t pay?

Romney has broken yet a third commandment “Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s house,”. Ever since McCain beat him in 2008, Romney has coveted the nomination. It is interesting to note that Romney lost to McCain, who was considered more conservative than Romney. That would be like losing to Charley Manson because he is less antisocial than you are.

“Thou shalt not kill” Romney’s position on abortion is well known and is extreme to say the least. Not only did he sanction abortions, he forced the taxpayers to foot the bill for them and to make matters worse, put Planned parenthood in charge. At the same time, he opposed capital punishment for murderers. So let me get this straight, killing mass murderers is taboo but innocent babies are fair game?
You can add to that the fact that Romney declared gay marriage legal by executive order. Other non-conservative actions include raising taxes, socializing medicine, forcing people to buy insurance, and he loudly denounced the tax cuts Bush implemented. In his campaign against Teddy, he made the statement that he did not want to continue the policies of Ronald Reagan, the greatest president of our time. Romney is also a huge proponent of ethanol subsidies.

We are now told that we must forget Romney’s past and instead believe his words of hope and change. Isn’t that how we ended up electing a Chicago community organizer? And is Romney all that different than Barack Insane Obama? Not according to George Soros.

If he gains the nomination, only one of a few scenarios will play out. Romney will lose the election and Obama gets 4 more years or Romney wins the election and we get 4 more years of Obama’s policies. Either way Romney will hurt our under card and place both the house and the senate in jeopardy. As longs as we hold the house and the senate, Obama is worse than a lame duck, he is a dead one. And since senate elections are for 6 years, they can have far reaching and devastating results. Remember Obama’s first two years? Want more of that where the republicans are politically neutered?
To paraphrase Jesus, our Lord and Christ “What profits a party to gain the presidency but lose their own soul?”

What good does it do the United States or the republican party if we put a liberal into the oval office? Having a president with an “R” after his name is not and should not be our goal. Our goal should be restoring America to it’s former greatness, through our conservative policies which benefit all Americans and not just a select few. As Sarah has said several times, Newt may not be the perfect candidate (There is no Ronald Reagan out there) but he is a true conservative, who actually has a history of pushing for conservative reforms and constitutional duties and privileges.

God bless America.

“who actually has a history of pushing for conservative reforms and constitutional duties and privileges.”

Medicare Part D is a conservative reform? Adding 16 trillion in unfunded liabilities is quite conservative indeed.

“To paraphrase Jesus, our Lord and Christ “What profits a party to gain the presidency but lose their own soul?”

That’s not paraphrasing Jesus. That’s altering what he said.

“This is the year conservatives have been waiting for after 3 years resounding victories over Obama and his crew of socialists and scoundrels. ”

This article just starts out with name calling. As someone who interacts with Obama supporters all the time, I can tell you this strategy does nothing to convince them to change their minds. It reinforces their support.

“We are now told that we must forget Romney’s past and instead believe his words of hope and change. Isn’t that how we ended up electing a Chicago community organizer? And is Romney all that different than Barack Insane Obama? Not according to George Soros.”

Can you quit it with the name calling?

“If he gains the nomination, only one of a few scenarios will play out. Romney will lose the election and Obama gets 4 more years or Romney wins the election and we get 4 more years of Obama’s policies.”

But conservatives love Obama’s foreign policy don’t they? It’s an expansion of the Bush foreign policy.

“Ron Paul has connected with the fringe but has gotten more support from liberals than he does from conservatives by far. ”

What is this supposed to imply? He gets the most support from the 40-and-under club the exit polls show. And the fact that he gets liberals’ votes is a good thing. How much liberal support does Newt Gingrich have? Don’t pretend like we don’t need liberals and independents for the vote this next election. You ever heard of a “Reagan Democrat?” There will be “Ron Paul Democrats” if he get’s elected.

And what nerve to call people who support him part of the “fringe.” The Tea Party was once called “the Fringe.” But then again, one man’s fringe is another man’s orthodoxy.

“As God must be thinking “What fools these mortals be.”

Nope. I seriously doubt God thinks like that.

Thank you for proving my point. I presented an argument based on facts and you present yours in vitriol typical of all racists and their followers. You also reveal that you know you cannot argue based on facts and your insults are the last resort of a weak mind. I don’t try to change liberal minds. That would be like trying to convince Paul supporters that racism is evil. It can’t be done. I hope you get some help. They have some wonderful meds that you really should try. Otherweise you could end up in the same padded cell as Paul.

    But more importantly:

“Ron Paul has connected with the fringe but has gotten more support from liberals than he does from conservatives by far. ”

What is this supposed to imply? He gets the most support from the 40-and-under club the exit polls show. And the fact that he gets liberals’ votes is a good thing. How much liberal support does Newt Gingrich have? Don’t pretend like we don’t need liberals and independents for the vote this next election. You ever heard of a “Reagan Democrat?” There will be “Ron Paul Democrats” if he get’s elected

Liberals don’t like conservatives like Gingrich and secondly although Reagan did have Reagan Democrats, he also had Reagan conservatives and Paul only averages 6.5% of those. Tonight he will finish dead last again and you can cry in your beer and I will be laughing my butt off at both of you.
