God bless America

We are citizens who support and conduct research, education and educational activities to help preserve the culture and foundation of the United States of America. 

We promote those ideals adopted by our Founding Fathers and expressed in the founding documents of our country through activism, community organization, and education.  The Charleston Tea Party is not a membership organization – there are no dues, applications or obligations. Instead we invite you to call yourself a member if you agree with the principles of limited government, personal responsibility, fiscal responsibility, rule of law, national sovereignty and state sovereignty.  

The Charleston Tea Party is politically active but we are not a political party, nor are we beholden to any political party or any other group. We are happy to help publicize information on individuals who are running for public office if that person clearly, through deeds and actions as well as words, shares our principles and values (see our Mission Statement). This is in keeping with our purpose to educate and inform to help voters make good decisions.

The Charleston Tea Party does not endorse primary candidates, but we often conduct straw polls to allow our members to voice their preferences, and members often post articles that are supportive of candidates they  like.  Posting of such articles only indicates endorsement by the individual author. Once the primary is concluded, we will often, but not always, endorse particular candidates —-once again, with preference toward those that share our values and are truly committed to serving the best interests of citizens in our locality, our State or Nation.

It will take the efforts of many to restore the freedoms and liberties that our Founding Fathers granted.  America is an exceptional place – help us restore her to greatness.
