Bill Whittle: “The Iceberg”

Bill Whittle is one of my favorite writers/commentators. An elfish looking guy (reminds me of my best friend in the fifth grade) but not to be misunderestimated in his ability to deliver a message, powerfully and directly. (Jeeze, I miss Dubya every day)

Never heard of him, you say?  If you’d subscribe to PJTV, and I highly recommend you do, then you’ll get daily, very powerful commentaries by email, and then you’d soon enough know who he is. He isn’t the only PJTV personality—-you’ll enjoy others too — but he’s the best, IMO.

Anyway, Mr. Whittle wrote an article that he calls “The Iceberg” back in July that I just got hold of.  I know, I know, we need to keep posted articles current.  But this one is timely, and timeless, and relevant for “our times.”

Right out of the chute, Bill wastes no time cutting to the chase and helping us understand the methods, and motivation, of the progressives that we’re fighting against for the soul of America:

“Let’s start at the top: with Barack Obama. Is he:

A. A Muslim-sympathizing, neo-Marxist true believer, who sees America and Capitalism as the principle barrier to fairness and world peace?

Or B, is he merely an empty suit, an unwitting pawn of much larger, hidden forces?

Or C,  simply a self-obsessed, incompetent narcissist who happened to be at the right place at the right time.

I’ve given this a lot of careful thought, and I think the real answer is yes.”

Whew! Let me catch my breath……

And then:

“When a society – after generations of hard work, sacrifice and hardship – reaches a certain level of prosperity, “Progressives” like Bill Maher, Janeane Garofolo, Rosie O’Donnell and Gaius Gracchus – that last Progressive died in 121 BC – assume that the prosperity is endless, and push for more and more people to get more and more goods and services for less and less work. Why? Because – as today, in America, as with the British Empire, the French Empire, the Spanish Empire, the Ottomans, the Mongols, Rome, Greece, Eqypt, Babylon… They do it for political power. They live for political power. This “Progressivism” is ancient, recurring, tyrannical and ruinous.

And we voted for it. Just like the Romans did.”

Okay. So, what’s with the title he chose for his article, “The Iceberg?

“Like an iceberg, the danger from progressivism lies beneath the surface: the slow erosion of the work ethic, the fostering of division and resentment and unearned entitlement, the abandonment of the entire idea of decency and morality – all of this beneath the placid surface of simply claiming to help people.”

And how committed are these progressive cretins to fulfilling their vision of control and power?  Very, except…..

“….unlike the brave and selfless men and women that daily risk, and often give their lives in defense of freedom for their fellow man, these people believe in nothing greater than the sound of their own voice and are willing to die for nothing.

What would Bill Maher, or Janeane Garofolo, or Rosie O’Donnel be willing to give their own lives for?  Nothing. Nothing. “ Hey, I don’t wanna die yet,  there’s a cool cocktail party tomorrow night!

And I would add to Bill’s examples above, all the rest of the progressive statists roaming the halls of Hollywood and  Washington.

I hope you’ll take a few minutes to read the entire article and start following Bill Whittle.  I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!

After working 32 enjoyable years for a major oil/chemical company, I am now semi-retired, working part time, and learning as much as I can about the dangers of left wing policies, and sharing info with others. The future of our country lies in our hands, and I’m not willing to turn it over to the leftie elites. As Ronald Reagan once said of how he defines “Victory”: We win. They Lose.
