Many of you may have marveled at the apparent politically stupid move by the President when he issued a rule that all faith based organizations, including Catholics, would be required to issue birth control meds including abortion inducing. How stupid we thought…..well maybe, but watch the other hand.
Danger flares should be going up. I’m afraid the Obama machine knew exactly what it was doing when it announced its plan to force all religious institutions, including Catholics, to offer healthcare packages with free contraceptives and abortion pills. All of the conservative talking heads marveled at how stupid a move this seemed to be. Obama was handing the election to the Republicans. But after a bit of time, I have become very fearful that this president, listening to his radical Marxist and Open Society advisers, knew exactly what he was doing.
If you will note, virtually all media reports, including Fox News, headline this issue around “contraceptives” and not abortion, religious freedom, and protection of the US Constitution, the real issues at stake.
Yesterday, there was a horrid article (my opinion), “Bishops bear burden on contraceptives“, in the Houston Chronicle written by a NYT writer, Gail Collins. It is designed to demean Catholic priests, marginalize religious freedom, and to show just how ridiculous religions can get with their silly insignificant beliefs. It also illustrates the virtue of government protecting the people from the silly beliefs of religion while allowing religions to preach their stuff in a confined environment, just the polar opposite of the purpose of the Constitution. This article outlines what we are going to see over the next few months. Don’t let your friends take their eyes off what is at stake while we are told its only about a “pill” being withheld by these petty religious people.
I fear if we don’t wake up immediately to the intentions of the Obama machine and its army of media operatives, we will lose handily in the fall. Whether we put forth Santorum, Romney, or even Gingrich, all will be made to look like religious zealots who won’t even let a woman have a birth control pill…..heck Ron Paul will appear to be the only sane one. The GOP’s strong suit is its Faith based support. Thus, the Obama machine is taking direct aim intending to marginalize “faith based’ and lock “religion” in a tiny box to be put on a shelf.
If Obama wins with this strategy, it will be over for our Constitutional form of government, if it isn’t already. Our form of government call only exist so long as enough of its the people remain virtuous.

When I look at Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Biden, Wasserman Schultz and Henry Waxman, I sometimes question my opposition to abortion.
Time for religious organizations to say SHOW ME THE LAW, the legal document that has the SEPARATION of church and state… in the mean time I will SUE any government entity the RESTRICTS the FREE EXERCISE of religion (I CAN SHOW you THAT in a legal document… it’s in the Constitution).
There is very little difference telling a corporate citizen that it must buy contraceptives for free distribution to any of its policy holders who wish them than it is to tell each citizen that they must buy health insurance. Both are orders from the government ordering a citizen to enter into the purchase of a product. This is well beyond the permitted scope of the commerce clause and hopefully, The Supreme Court will soon make that clear.
Arguing this issue from a religious or political is a fool errand.
This is first and foremost, the most overt and most aggressive assault on the 1st Amendment in the history of our Republic. Do not think of this as a political or religious issue. Think and act only from the standpoint of your freedom as free men, for If we as patriots fail to stand in defiant defense of the 1st Amendment today, we shall surly loose all of our liberties tomorrow. You either have liberty or you do not. You are either free or your are not. If you are willing to comprimise your liberty for a promise, then you are not free, period.
Now we can look at the contraceptives issue from a position of freedom, as free men would.
The Obama administration understands, from their ideological viewpoint, that the government has a ‘responsibility’ to take care of its population. Their source for this interpretation come from the preamble of the Constitution…..”Promote the general Welfare”. It makes perfect sense that in order to fulfill their responsibility, everyone must have health and all that encumbers. FDR’s Second Bill of Rights speech says it all. (PS it mirrors the Russian Constitution, go figure)
In that speech, FDR said…
Among these (rights) are:
The right to a useful and remunerative job in the industries or shops or farms or mines of the nation;
The right to earn enough to provide adequate food and clothing and recreation;
The right of every farmer to raise and sell his products at a return which will give him and his family a decent living;
The right of every businessman, large and small, to trade in an atmosphere of freedom from unfair competition and domination by monopolies at home or abroad;
The right of every family to a decent home;
The right to adequate medical care and the opportunity to achieve and enjoy good health;
The right to adequate protection from the economic fears of old age, sickness, accident, and unemployment;
The right to a good education.
From a Socialist / Marxist view, these rights must be first granted to the people and then protected by the Government and that a government that fails to grant and protect these ‘rights’ is not a government at all. Where the Catholic Church is concerned, they are simply a road block to the efforts of government to reach its goal of granting the ‘rights’ it believes it has a responsibility to ensure we have. Constitutionally speaking, Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. The Founders made this as clear as necessary, without ambiguity. Free from discussion or litigation. The church need simply to ignore this edict from a Despot and move on but sadly they chose to debate it. The simply act of debating it give leverage where none is appropriate. It lends credence to the concept that the government has the authority to make this decision, which they do not.
The Catholic church had an opportunity to either ignore the 1st Amendment and allow the Legislative, Executive and/or Judicial to usurp the 1st or reject this issue with malice and live with the fallout. Remembering that Obama carried a large percentage of the Catholic vote in 2008 will help you see their position. They have, at the end of the day, allowed the Legislative Branch, as written in the Affordable Care Act to side-step the issue and force insurance companies to provide woman’s health coverage and ‘grant’ the church an opt-out. This of course is no solution at all, but the path of least resistance. Both the church and the government have clearly shown the world that our Constitution is meaningless to each. The church did not stand in defiant resistance to this usurpation and the church has opened the door for more egregious and more frequent usurpations of our freedoms.
Thanks all you socially liberal “Christians” for flushing my liberty down the toilet so that you feel better about yourselves!
