The Charleston Tea Party and The Charleston County GOP are hosting activist training at the GOP’s new HQ located at 4952 Center Point Drive, Suite 110 (next to the Sake House at Tanger Outlet Mall area). There will be three classes, held on Saturday afternoons from 2 until 4 pm. Subjects will cover:
Part 1 – February 25th 2pm – 4pm
Media Literacy – social media – how to maximize the use of Facebook, Twitter and other social media outlets, talk radio – calling in and getting your message out, letter writing – sending letters to the editors of local publications
Part 2 – March 10th 2pm – 4pm
Campaign Management Skills – talking to voters one-on-one, making calls, what to say, how to say it.
Part 3 – March 24th 2pm – 4pm
Candidate and Advanced Campaign Leadership – getting to work as a candidate or working for a candidate in a leadership role. What you need to know to get the most impact from your campaign or learn the skills you need to be an asset to a candidate’s campaign.
Local elected officials will be by to encourage and support your participation. Training is free and refreshments will be provided.
