Right to LIFE … who is willing to FIGHT for it? — THIS WEDNESDAY!!

Susan G Komen breast cancer foundation has been in the news recently for first deciding to STOP giving Planned Parenthood about $700,000 dollars a year.

When the left wing news media went on the attack they promptly backed down and restored the Planned Parenthood annual grant money.

Was anyone other than me shocked and outraged that money you donated to ‘SGK race for the cure’  had been funneled to the number one US abortion provider?

What in the WORLD made them think that money should go to Planned Parenthood?

Planned Parenthood DOES NOT do cancer screenings, they DO NOT do mammograms… they refer women to organizations that DO PROVIDE free screenings and Mammograms, but that is a VERY, VERY small interruption of their MAIN activity which is KILLING BABIES.

I’m a cancer survivor, I know other survivors, I know women that have died from cancer…  I am so ANGRY that instead of helping women with cancer, or funding research Komen is funding ABORTION!.

In 2010 40,000+ people (390 men) DIED of breast cancer, all cancers claimed 569,000 lives in 2010… KNOW how many babies where killed in the USA by abortion that year?  1.2 MILLION … of that 1.2 MILLION Planned Parenthood is responsible for 300,000 babies flushed away.  I am just SICK that over the years I’ve donated money to SG Komen which they used to fund abortions.

To add insult to injury, I got an email today from the SC Stingrays Hockey team.  They’ll be revealing their PINK in the RINK jersey this Wednesday 3pm at East Cooper Medical Center… they have the Pink in the Rink hockey game and the money they raise goes to SG KOMEN and  via them Planned Parenthood.  Later in the day at 6pm they have more events at the Chilli’s restaurant in North Charleston.

Sure would like it get some people against abortion to show up to those events,  maybe wave signs pass out information.   Whose WITH ME?

I did not know they gave money to planned parenthood , But now that I do I will no longer donate .I cannot give to an organization that offers a chance for life with one hand while taking a life with the other.

How about t shirts that simply say “Abortion Survivor”. Also, I am personally stopping all donations to the Kamen fund and will not buy any product with a pink ribbon in signia on it.

  3. Ms. Chris says:

Wow, it is amazing what we the people can learn from each other. Thanks Cappy for bringing this to my attention and Ditto the comments. No more pink donations for me.

  4. Well they got a pass yesterday… no protest… maybe next time.

I think we really need to put the pressure on the Komen Foundation to pull the plug on the funds they donate to Planned Parenthood. I come from a long line of breast cancer victims, some survivors, some not. I feel very strongly about the battle against breast cancer and have always felt the Komen Foundation as a worthy organization. However, I do not want any part of my donations funding abortions. I am Pro Life–and that means “pro life” for everyone, including victims of cancer and victims of abortion. Thus, I pledge to no longer donate to the Komen Foundation until they pull the plug and stop funneling money to PP. If they do, and upon so doing, I will gladly resume contributing. It is appalling to me how the mainstream media continues to pressure worthy causes, charities, churches, and principled citizens into “caving” for the sake of liberal ideals. The Komen Foundation is just another pawn for the liberal machine…this chess game the liberal-minded mainstream media, our current administration, and all their cronies, are playing is a dangerous one…it’s a game against a power much greater than them. However, I take comfort in knowing that sooner or later, they will ultimately lose the game…hopefully, sooner than later. In the meantime, I will do my small part in standing as a warrior against inhumane practices…even if the only way I can is to withdraw my financial support from those who knuckle under to the liberal cause. I just wish I could withdraw funding of entitlements by no longer contributing income taxes as well.

    Fine, Ladies. . .

Don’t donate to Komen. . .your anti-abortion stance is fine for you, but it shouldn’t be imposed on those of us who do not agree with you.

People in this country who actively work to suppress the rights of women are akin to the medieval societies of Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. In those countries, women are condemned to bear girl children to husbands who use them as currency in marriage contracts, allow or force them to work to help support the family, deny them an education, limit their health care, and otherwise treat them like chattel with no rights at all.

I think it’s just fine for you to be against abortion. . .don’t have one. . .don’t allow your daughters to have one. . .but leave me and mine alone. If my daughter chooses to have an abortion, I will support her and be thankful that she doesn’t have to go to a back alley to have it. Choice. . .a beautiful word.

  7. Capt. Elaine says:

Well Susan FIRST killing your baby is NOT a RIGHT… it’s LEGAL but a RIGHT? I don’t think so. Second I’m not IMPOSING anything on YOU, but KOMEN imposes on ALL people against abortion by donating cancer research funds to the LARGEST ABORTION provider in the country… without letting people know. Can you say DISHONEST? What if your donations went to an organization YOU were against like say a RIGHT TO LIFE organization? That’s the POINT… they should NOT be giving the donations to a controversial group… you can of course give to Murder, Inc I’m sure they’d gladly accept.

  8. Steve Ahle says:

    Susan,
I found your post to be both enlightening and definitive of the liberal mindset. Roe vs Wade was decided on the basis of a right to privacy, which you will not find in the constitution. Nowhere does it say you have a right to privacy and indeed in court case after court case, the right to privacy is not allowed, especially when your act or speech has no apparent expectation of privacy. However the constitution does give people the right “Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”

The right to kill innocent babies depends on your ability to accept an immoral lifestyle, while at the same time insulating you from the consequences. Yet liberals wear that tag with pride. This explains why liberals do as much as they can to discredit the church. Because the moment they accept the belief that God judges your actions here on Earth, you have to accept the responsibility for your actions.
The founding fathers would be apalled that there are those who would use their sacred document to kill babies and I can only imagine how God feels about it. Here is a poem I wrote:

    SOMEWHERE A CHILD

    Somewhere a child lays dreaming
Carrying all the hopes of the world
To cure all ills and make the peace
Holster guns and sheath the sword

    Somewhere a child lays dreaming
    Choas calmed and disorder sorted
And each of us must hope and pray
This wondrous child is not aborted

Now I understand that liberals don’t see these babies as human but on the other hand conservatives feel the same way about women who thoughtlessly kill theirs.

  9. Ann Grimes says:

Susan, of course it’s your choice, your decision, as to whether or not you choose to take a life–whether its an unborn fetus,a helpless old man, the teller at the bank, or whomever. But, a RIGHT–absolutely not. YOU are part of what is wrong with our country–a nation that was founded upon Judeo Christian beliefs–which is based upon humanitarian principles–one of which is a respect–a reverence–for human life–and, an unborn fetus is HUMAN. It may not be physically mature–that takes 9 months, but, it is of the spirit after the moment of conception. Of course, you have the right to decide if you want a child, as does your daughter. Instead of teaching our daughters that we’d rather they have the option of abortion available, there are other options they can utilize including, dare I say it–abstinence. Oh, I absolutely believe in women’s rights, but, I don’t believe in it at the expense of unborn babies. I don’t know your faith, but, if you happen to proclaim being a Christian, I suggest you get into The Word and study Job 3:11 and Psalm 139:13. If you’re not, then do it anyway–who knows, you may learn something worthwhile. But, remember this, Susan, God does love you as he loves all of us–even the unborn. And, you are absolutely correct that anyone can make a choice about the taking of another life–but, remember that when you go before Him, you will have to explain your position on it being your right to do so.
