The U.S. should have never encouraged the fall of the past leadership in Egypt. Early on we were told that the Muslim Brotherhood would not come into power. Well, that was pure blather.
The Muslim Brotherhood is in power now and the Muslim Brotherhood is a radical Islamic group. The new government in Egypt does not bode well for that country. Sharia Law will be the law of that country. Refer to this interesting article for one person’s take on the situation in Egypt.
It is also troubling that one of our Supreme Court Justices went to Egypt to help draft their new constitution. Justice Ginsburg told them they should not model their new constitution using the U.S. Constitution because it is outdated. The greatest constitution for freedom ever, that has existed for over 200 years, providing freedom for American citizens is now being disrespected by one of the Justices who has pledged to protect and defend it.
Americans should be outraged, but most Americans will probably never even hear that Ginsburg said this. We are losing more and more of our freedoms daily under this Administration.
