The sound of a kettle boiling is something that we are all used to, but do you remember the noise that an old fashion kettle on a stove makes? Most of us can recall the whistling sound that it makes. The noises are usually caused by either a process known as kettling which is where your limescale, corrosion or other debris has caused areas of your system to have to work harder when heating your water. Water flow becomes restricted due to the corrosion or build up of limescale and the trapped water heats up too much and turns into steam which then expands.
