He gets rid of the river, but the man skilled in prosthetics adopts it. There is a way to regain your limbs and senses and being human. But for this, he has to destroy all demons. Hakkimaru goes hunting demons and meets Dororo under the circumstances.

Dororo sees Hakkimaru killing a demon. Dororo is an orphan and is often kicked and beaten for his antics. Little Dororo is in awe of Hakkimaru’s ability to kill a demon who decides to follow him. Hakkimaru can only see through the color of the soul.

Dororo Manga

Dororo is originally a Japanese manga from the late ’90s.  Osamu Tezuka had written and illustrated the manga. Previously, the manga was serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine in 1967. Later, the manga continued in Shoten’s Bōken’ō magazine until 1969.

The manga consists of four volumes. Also, the manga portrays Hakkimaru differently from his character in the anime.

Dororo game

Did you know that Dororo’s plot has also inspired a video game? Blood Will Tell is a game released on Play Station 2. Sega released the game in 2004. The game is based on the characters portrayed in the manga and not the anime. Dororo’s character is that of a thief who follows Hakkimaru as his ally.

The game continues when Hakkimaru is required to defeat the 48 demons. In return, he regains his senses one by one as he defeats. The plot continues when Jyukai teaches him to fight in such a way that he can fight them. Hakkimaru meets Dororo while saving people from the hands of a demon. They then shake hands to continue their journey.

Dororo season 2

Dororo Season 2 is one of the most anticipated anime after the launch of its first season. Dororo season 2 is expected to include both Hakkimaru and Dororo’s adult journey. The previous season reveals Dororo’s gender. She keeps pretending to be a boy. But we come to know that he did it to avoid unnecessary attention.

Dororo season 2 release date

Dororo’s season 2 release date is yet to be mentioned on any official site. Dororo’s previous season was released in 2019. And so far, we don’t have any updates on the Dororo season 2 release date. But we’ll keep you posted as we get hints of its release date.

Where to see season 2 of Dororo?

Dororo Season 1 is officially available on  Amazon Prime Video. It has 24 episodes of Hakkimaru and Dororo’s journey fighting demons. Therefore, it is also believed that Season 2 will be available on Amazon Prime when it launches.

Dororo season 2 manga comparison

In the Dororo manga, Hakkimaru is not affected at all by his missing body parts. In the anime, he lives his life with more confidence. But in the anime, he portrays a wave of anger, knowing that his parents had changed him to demons.

There are characters like Mio who develop a romantic side for Hakkimaru. But in Chapter 8 of the manga. Dororo and Hakkimaru leave Mio behind to continue their journey. There is a big difference in the character portrayed. In the anime, Biwamaru repeatedly warns Dororo that Hakkimaru turns into a demon and loses control. However, Dororo selflessly clings to him.

There is also a scene where Hakkimaru is blind with rage. He comes to know how his father had left him unapologetically for power. Hakkimaru even leaves behind Dororo, who has been with him through thick and thin. However, in the manga, Dororo is partially selfish, following Hakkimaru only to steal his sword and symbolizing a higher status.

The characters differ in the manga and the anime. The manga features additional characters. Therefore it is one of the anime adaptations that preferred to differentiate itself from its original plot.

Dororo season 2 predictions and spoilers

At the end of the previous season, Dororo finally discovers how to use the wealth he left behind. If Dororo Season 2 is released, we could see the mature Dororo building the village from scratch. Give the people around you the hope of living away from their sufferings.

Also, fans are excited to see Hakkimaru and Dororo reunite. We can hope for a happy ending for Dororo and Hakkimaru. But with the plot twists we experienced in the previous season, we can’t be sure of anything. All we can do is wait for more details on the Dororo S2 launch.

Will Dororo’s season 2 finale be similar to the original ending?

Dororo’s first season did not follow the manga as it is. Keeping the characters the same, there was a lot of difference in personality. As for the last chapter of the manga, it ended where Dororo was still a child.

Looking forward to the next season will be the journey of his adulthood. It may not be wise to assume that the ending will be something similar to manga. Watching the anime has made me realize that the personality of the characters has more depth.
